We have no headboard. Just an ensemble bed pushed up to the wall. I've done my wicker-heart / lights / garlands thing on the wall above the bed (I will share what it looks like the instant I make my bed), but no headboard. I often wonder if I need one.
I kinda need this one. Danielle de Lange put the photo on her Flickr page and someone pinned it for me to discover. The mint-green walls, the crisp white peacock-style bedhead... lush, huh!?

I'm glad you asked ... when you posted about your surprise book storage thingo the other week (courtesy of Cappers), it reminded me of our bedhead. We have a timber bed with a head and a foot, and both head and foot have a capping of around 4 inches deep. It means I can put my books, tea, diary, moisturiser, whatever up above my head and then, when I wake, I just reach up for my book and have a sneaky cup of tea while I wake up. I don't have much space to myself in our house of 4 men, but I do have my bed head.
I have to say, it makes me feel a bit special every morning (helps that Mr Karen is only happy to indulge with hot beverages). x
We have a timber bed head, but after many moves and too many times of dismantling we are desperate for new bed. We would love one that has built in storage for books and lamp etc:)
Looks gorgeous Bron (especially that wall colour!), but thinking back to my wicker days, the dusting is a tragedy! Or maybe I'm just a dusting tragic....
This exact image inspired me to scour eBay for some vintage cane and I picked up a gorgeous headboard which I LOVE! I added some lovely heart Salvation Jane cushions and a little Mexican art above. Minimal effort with maximum impact.

This is MEGA lush. I had a fairy light headboard for a while but it got kinda annoying. Am still trying to decide what to do when we get to sleep in our own bed again... hmmmm. *s*
