Pin of the Day: An everyday moment

Even though the over-styled life really riles me, I can't help but get sucked into it.  I think I might have been a stylist in another, more aesthetically pleasing life.

Little pictures of simple everyday things that look good just make me feel good.

Hence, this pin of a picture by Karen Russell from Snapshots {of a good life}. Simple, beautifully shot - an everyday afternoon snack turned into a memorable moment. It inspires me to create more of these moments for my own children. Afternoon snack time has recently turned into an occasion.

What do you do for afternoon tea at your place?

Today we had strawberries with cream with a little sugar sprinkled on top! Decadent!

In an ideal world my kids would eat this. I can hear Sam saying "buerk" french for yuk. We're going on a group picnic on saturday and I'm going to try and style it to the max. Thanks for the inspiration! x

We usually do cut fruit and some sort of crackery-biscuity-crunchy carby thing. I do love cut fruit. It tastes different, you know. ;)

Simple everyday things are the best. I believe in making everyday and every little thing we do meaningful. By the by, it's almond french toast for afternoon tea for me.
